DUMPLINGS ALL AROUND THE WORLD
Dumplings can be found almost everywhere on the globe – they are intertwined in the food culture of many countries. Apart of some German and English dumpling varieties that are made without a filling there many others like pirogi, gyoza, or jiaozi to name just a few. Depending on the heritage they vary in the kind of dough and filling; shape and size, as well as the way of serving and cooking them.
Momos are dumplings that have their origin in the Himalayan Mountains. Among the people of Nepal, Tibet and Northern India they are very popular street foods and seen as part of everyday life. The little dumpling is a versatile product that can be cooked in many ways: most commonly steamed, but also pan-fried with a slight crust. Often served with a tasty dip it combines a wide range of various flavours.
FROM NEPAL TO BERLIN
While travelling through Nepal we – Marc and Martin – got really fond of these deliciously filled pockets: Momos with various tasty fillings served with mouth-watering dips. We just could not get enough of them! Our decision: bringing the goodness of the momo with us back to Berlin and create a possibility to share the love for momos with the people back home!
We have realised the vision of our very own momos joint and incorporated the ideas of high quality organic foods and sustainability into our concept. You can happily look forward to a perfect flavour experience of our delicious creations.
